QUANTITY OF WATER COLLECTED IN WESTERN AZERBAIJAN DAMS DISCLOSED

The volume of water collected in 14 dams in Western Azerbaijan was 790 million cubic meters. This means a decrease of 152 million cubic meters compared to the same period last year.

The statement came from Atabek Jafari, director of the West Azerbaijan Regional Water Company. He said that currently there are a total of 75 million cubic meters of water in the Baykendi, Agh Chay, Shaharchay and Savujbulag dams of the province.

According to Jafari, there are 51 million cubic meters of water in Silva dam, 46 in Zola, 45 in Dashmak, 23 in Sarug dam of Tikantepe, 18 in Sulduzun Hasanlu dam, and 11 million cubic meters in Dilmak and Ganbari dams.

9 million cubic meters of water was collected at the Karamabad dam in the Arabian Desert, 5 at the Kiygaj dam and 3 at the Araz-2 dam. The amount of water collected in 10 dams has decreased compared to last year. The volume of water in the Karamabad, Qanbari and Dashmaki dams of the Arabian Desert and the Hasanlu dams in Sulduz is higher than last year. The water volume of the Darik dam is the same as last year.

It should be noted that there are 14 water dams in Western Azerbaijan.
