Two smugglers of antique goods have been arrested in western Azerbaijan

The head of the Western Azerbaijan Cultural Heritage Protection Agency said that two gangs involved in smuggling antiques and illegal miners had been arrested in Urmu and Soyugbulag.Following reports from the West Azerbaijan Cultural Works, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization, disciplinary forces moved to arrest the gangs.

Sarhang Behzad Hejabi’s 30th Ordibehesht On Tuesday, the necessary work was done to arrest the two smuggling gangs. According to police, two of the gang members were arrested with tools to find and take out the antiques and were taken to the West Mokrian Passage to advance the legal process.

According to Sarhang Hejabi, the operation also seized a number of items from the smugglers, including “a Piraid car and seven gold-digging tools.”

It should be noted that for many years there have been such irregular excavations in the historical territory of Azerbaijan. Many of the historical artifacts extracted from these excavations are fugitives, and some are lost as a result of the gas being irregular. For many years, historical artifacts in Iran are believed to be behind the smuggling of the state. Because often there is no information about the fate of the arrested smugglers and, more importantly, the seized historical artifacts.
