Broadcasting of “Rain” magazine has been suspended due to its support for the victory of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Karabakh war. Ibrahim Ganji Afsuran, an Azerbaijani activist and executive director of Rasht University’s Yagish magazine, spoke about the issue.
According to him, the magazine was suspended due to the fact that Azerbaijani Turks were not allowed to operate.
“University officials have not given us any written reason for their opposition to the magazine. However, the reason for their protest from the beginning was that the activities of certain peoples in the country, especially Azerbaijani Turks, were not allowed, “Ibrahim Ganji said.
He also noted that Azerbaijani activists censored articles from the first issue of the magazine.
