Forests are being destroyed in Garadagh

Forests of Ahar and Khiyav

According to reports sent to us by local residents, the brown-tailed butterfly disaster continues to spread in the Garadagh forests.

This disaster, which first appeared in the forests of Ahar and Khiyav this year, is currently continuing in a severe state in the forests of Kalaybar.
According to information received by the ANT from the population, the relevant authorities and officials have done little to prevent the spread of the disaster for more than a month.

According to locals, the rapid spread of the disaster and the continuation of this process for another month could completely destroy the monkey forests.

Experts say the spread of the disaster is due to the recent deforestation of blackberry forests. As a result of the break in the forest trees, the sugar in the leaves rises as the leaves receive enough sunlight, which causes the butterfly to lay more eggs and becomes a disaster.
