According to the governor of Meshginshahr, 137 kilograms of narcotics were seized in the city this year.
According to the IRNA news agency, Akbar Samadi said at a meeting of the Council on Drugs last year that 270 kilograms of drugs were seized from different types of drugs.
The commander said that it was more important to prioritize the issue in the fight against drugs, and asked each department to make annual preparations for this.
Samadi reported that 20 public organizations had been set up and started working in Meshginshahr’s urban and rural neighborhoods to deal with drugs.
The mayor of Meshginshahr said at the meeting that all departments and musicians should cooperate with the police to address the issue of drug smuggling and drug trafficking (drug addiction) from the city.
