With the spread of the coronavirus, it was decided to suspend all football and futsal competitions in Western Azerbaijan.
The head of the West Azerbaijan Football Team has announced that they have decided to cancel all competitions in the 99th year.
According to Ali Asgar Malekani, the games have been suspended so far because the Ministry of Sports and Youth has not given a clear answer on the competition.
Speaking to the Persian News Agency, Malekani said that such a decision was made for the health of athletes due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus.
It should be noted that Iran is known as the first country to witness the second wave of coronavirus infection.
