A 13-year-old girl who was killed by her father in Khordad this year has been sentenced. This was reported by Romina’s mother Rena Dashti. An Iranian court has sentenced the killer to nine years in prison.
She also said that Bahman Khaveri, who kidnapped Romina in order to marry her, was sentenced to two years in prison.
In the end, Rena Dashti protested against the verdict and said she would appeal.
It should be noted that after the crime, human rights activists said that the crime was caused by the negligence of the Iranian police. A few days after fleeing, Romina Ashrafi was found with the man and returned home. He repeatedly told police he could be killed by his father, but police returned his 13-year-old daughter to their home without listening.
