The architectural works of the Seljuk dynasty are being destroyed

In Maragha

The Blue Dome of the city of Maragha is an eye-catching monument built of brick as a unique and masterpiece of the Seljuk period, based on 800 years of history.
The building has 10 corners and is decorated with turquoise bricks and tiles.

Funds are allocated each year for the restoration of this historical monument and the restoration of the roof, and the execution operation begins, but is stopped a few days later.

It should be noted that one of the main domestic policies of the Persian chauvinist state of Iran is to create the image of “Persian greatness” among the Turks inside Iran.

The policy of “Erasing the Turkish Trace in Iran” is being pursued. Historical Turkish monuments in the region of South Azerbaijan and throughout Iran are being neglected and destroyed as much as possible.

Examples include the Rub Rashidi monument in Tabriz, the Khudafar bridge, the Maiden’s Bridge, the Erk Fortress, the Ali Gapi Emirate, the Shir Khurshid Building, and other monuments.
