5 South Azerbaijani national activist summoned to Rasht General and Revolutionary Court

Five South Azerbaijani national activists, Vadud Asadi, Mohammad Eni Chunakhan, Ibrahim Ganji Afsuran, Vahid Beygzade, and Mohammad Shiri, residents of Rasht, received a court notice on Aban 25, 1399 through the Court’s Electronic Notification System.

According to this document, they were given 5 days to go to the 10th Department of the General and Revolutionary Court of Rasht and be ready to present their final defense on the charges against them.

The indictment states that the charges against them were “conspiracy and conspiracy against the security of the country.”

It should be noted that these activists were detained by security forces in Rasht on Mehr 29, 1399, for protesting against trucks carrying regular aid to Armenia and demanding the closure of the Norduz border.

They were released on bail pending an investigation.
