96 hectares of forests and pastures were destroyed in a fire in the month of Tira in the Khudaferin district of Garadagh.
The statement came from Rahim Mehrdadi, director general of the East Azerbaijan Department of Natural Resources.
He said that out of 96 areas, 16 hectares consisted of wooded forests, and 73 hectares of plants and pastures.
According to him, due to the tragic experience of last year’s fire, from the moment we received information about this year’s fire, several authorities sent troops to the region.
