A Turkmen prisoner has died in Iran as a result of torture by a prison warden

According to human rights activists in the Turkmen Sahara region, on the morning of November 18, a young prisoner named Mohammad Duji died as a result of torture by prison staff.

According to ANT, one of the inmates of Gorgan’s Amirabad prison, nicknamed Hasan, who did not want to be named, said in a conversation with human rights activists in the Turkmen Sahara region:

“There was a confrontation in the prison and the guards of the prison were Mohammadi
To punish, they took off his clothes, handcuffed his hands and feet, and waved from the roof of the dungeon in the cold of winter until he fainted. Cold water was poured on him to rebuke him, and all this was done as a lesson before the eyes of us prisoners. “Unfortunately, he could not stand the torture this morning.”

He said that since this morning, security measures have been tightened in the prison and the prison administration has imposed a number of restrictions on prisoners, so no detainee has been allowed to leave the prison.

It should be noted that 19-year-old Mohammad Duji was a resident of Odak Duji village of Aghgala region of Turkmen Sahara.
