Azerbaijani activists in Tabriz, with large graffiti and murals throughout the city, warned the court and security of Ardabil that Azerbaijani political prisoners Abbas Lisani, Yusif Kari, Ali and Reza Vasegi were suffering from Covid-19 and neglected their health. demanded the release of all Azerbaijani political prisoners.

The slogans “Remember the warning to the dictator of history”, “If Tabriz catches fire, Tehran will burn”, “We are worried about our political prisoners – Abbas Lisani”, “We are all Lisani” are the target wall inscriptions observed in the streets of Tabriz.

These slogans warn of the alarming and critical situation of Abbas Lisani and other activists serving sentences in Iranian prisons.

Among Azerbaijani political prisoners detained in Ardabil prison, Abbas Lisani has been banned from making telephone calls to his relatives for certain reasons since his release from Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied territories of Azerbaijan.

According to his fellow prisoners, he is in poor health and has symptoms of coronavirus infection.
