Ayub Shiri was summoned to the Criminal Court

According to the electronic notification sent to Ayub Shiri by Branch 4 of the Execution of Criminal Sentences of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office of Tabriz, this Azerbaijani civil activist was asked to execute his sentence within 1 day within 5 days. Introduce a suspended prison and a fine of 10 million Tomans to this branch. The communiqué added that the result is the absence of attraction.

Mr. Shiri had previously been tried by the Tabriz 2nd Criminal Court on charges of “disturbing public order” and sentenced to one year in prison and 74 lashes. This sentence was suspended for 1 year due to Mr. Shiri’s lack of record and was fined 10 million Tomans.

According to this notification, Mr. Shiri has been summoned in the amount of 10 million Tomans in connection with the preparation of a mask, gloves, detergents, alcohol wipes (pads) and other similar materials.

Also, Mr. Shiri was sentenced to 2 years in prison by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Tabriz, presided over by Judge Rahim Hambarbar.

The Azerbaijani civil activist, along with his brother Davood Shiri, were arrested by security forces at their workplace in Tabriz on November 17, 1998, and transferred to unknown locations.

Davood and Ayub Shiri were released from Tabriz prison on March 28 of the same year on March 28 of the same year, after being detained and interrogated for nearly a month, until the end of the trial.
