The families of activists detained in Ardabil in connection with the protests in support of Karabakh are concerned about the situation of activists. When they went to the Beheshti court in Ardabil on the 20th of Mehr, they were again told by officials that they did not know.
In this regard, Babek Nonahal told the families of the activists, “We have a lot to do with the detainees.” It should be noted that Nonahal told the families a few days ago that “the case has not come to us yet.”
Although 20 days have passed since the activists’ arrest, it is still unknown where or on what charges they are being held. It should be noted that these activists have not been able to contact their families since their arrest.
It should be noted that the activists gathered peacefully in support of Karabakh and unfurled a poster. In this regard, Iranian security forces arrested more than 30 activists. The identities of 10 activists have not been announced yet.
It should be noted that Amnesty International expressed concern over the widespread arrests in various Azerbaijani cities in East Azerbaijan and demanded the unconditional release of the activists.
