A magnitude 4 earthquake shook the Iranian province of West Azerbaijan.
The statement came from the Larzanigar Center of the Geophysical Institute of the Tehran Council of Iran.
The tremors were recorded at a depth of 6 km in the Gardakshana region of Piranshahar, West Azerbaijan Province. No casualties or damage were reported.
