In Al-Ahwaz, 90 thousands students have not been able to access Iran’s SHAD program

Kurush Muwaddat

Kurush Muwaddat, head of Al-Ahwaz’s Education Department, said 15 percent of students in the province had not been able to access the SHAD program.

Mowdat said on Sunday that 85 percent of children use the SHAD program set up by the education watchdog for distance learning during the Coronavirus, but 15 percent stay away from school because they do not have a tablet or a suitable phone.

It is estimated that there are 1,150,000 students in Al-Ahwaz, and it is estimated that 90,000 children are out of school. Muwaddat said the province had promised to distribute 3,000 tablets to poor children, but so far only 1,000 have been given.

It should be noted that after the appearance of the coronavirus, Iran was transferred to the system of distance education, but due to the impossibility, tens of thousands of children dropped out of school, especially in poor places such as Azerbaijan.
