The trial of Azerbaijani national activist Ali Aziz took place on the 24th of Shahrivar. According to the 3rd Department of the Revolutionary Court of Tabriz, the activist was sentenced to 5 years in prison on charges of “illegal membership in GAMAC” and 6 years in prison on charges of “negative propaganda against Iran.”
Ali Azizi, who is currently on bail, had previously been charged with “spreading lies on social media” by Judge Seyyed Ali Mousavi of the 16th Division of the Revolutionary and General Court in Tabriz on July 19. As a result, his license was increased by 150 million tomans, from 500 million tomans to 650 million tomans.
