Tawhid Amir Amini celebrated his second birthday yesterday with his colleagues at Evin Prison.
A South Azerbaijani cultural activist sent a message from prison:
“We will not allow fear to take our future away from us and determine our lives. Perhaps we will walk wisely, thinking the truth and standing by the words of God, and rise to the heights of fear with the strength of our faith.”
Tovhid Amir Amini was arrested along with Kianush Aslani for distributing World Mother’s Day brochures and was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison.
