On November 29, during the presentation of the new director general of the Tabriz Machine-Building Quarry, the company’s employees suspended work, expressing concern about the future of their work and the condition of the quarry.
After the machine-building company was transferred to the Industrial Development and Reconstruction Organization of Iran, a man named Taqvamanesh was introduced as the new general manager and presented to the employees on November 29 with the participation of the heads of the East Azerbaijan Province. According to ILNA, the reason for the protest was the protest against the appointment of a new CEO of the company.
According to Habib Aminzadeh, head of the South Azerbaijan Organization of Industry, Mining and Trade, part of the problem is related to the General Directorate of Cooperation, Labor and Social Protection. Huseyn Fathi, head of the Main Department for Cooperation, Labor and Social Affairs of the East Azerbaijan Province, also said in this regard:
“Employees are worried about the safety process.”
