As a result of flood waters, the road of Sahand nomads was blocked in Maragha

For the second time in a week, hail and floods blocked the roads of Sahand nomads.

The governor of Maragha, Seyidali Mousavi Husseini, said today that “for the second time last week, heavy hail and rain closed the roads of the Bayindir region of Sahand and destroyed 10 kilometers of roads as a result of floods.”

Mousavi continued: “Seulsu destroyed the Dehgan dam for the second time in the last three days, causing problems with water supply to 26 villages in Maragha district.

This morning, by sending equipment and assistance, the destroyed roads in the Sahand pastures will be rebuilt and the problem of water supply to the villages will be eliminated.

During the week, rain, hail and floods caused damage to crops and settlements in the villages of the desert, amounting to 650 billion rials.

The floods also damaged part of the gardens and trees in Shilvana, Gartavul, Kohjug and Muganjug villages, and destroyed many roads between crops.
