Astara’s health director said that people had to sleep in the corridors because the city’s Shahid Beheshti Hospital was full of coronavirus patients and there was no space.
Farid Basiri said that 61 coronavirus patients are currently hospitalized in Shahid Beheshti Hospital. The head of Hussein Ahmadi Shahid Beheshti Hospital said that since the beginning of the month of Azer, 61 patients have tested positive for coronavirus.
Ahmadi also reminded that there were 34 people suffering from various diseases and said that the only hospital in the city was full.
The head of Astara’s Sipah Forces, Qanbari, said that 9,512 people had been tested for coronavirus during this period, and 29 people in eight families had tested positive for coronavirus.
City experts say the Astara customs are overcrowded and that the coronavirus is widespread in the area because of the influx of people from all over the country.
