Azerbaijan’s political prison has been temporarily released

Azerbaijani activist Hakima Ahmadi, who was interrogated at the Sipah Intelligence Prison in Tabriz, was temporarily released on bail of 100 million tomans.

Hakima Ahmadi was arrested by security forces along with dozens of other activists in front of the Azerbaijani Consulate in Tabriz on 26 Tir.

Ahmadi was taken to Sipah for questioning after her arrest. Mousavi, the base officer of the 16th Department of the Revolutionary and General Court of Tabriz, sentenced the Azerbaijani activist to more than 20 days in prison.

It should be noted that after the Armenian aggression against the Republic of Azerbaijan on the 26th of Tire, in which cities Tabriz, Urmu, Ardabil, Sulduz and Tehran were called for support from Azerbaijan in front of the Azerbaijani Consulate and the Armenian Embassy. Iranian security forces prevented Azerbaijani activists from protesting and detained dozens of cultural activists in the cities of Tabriz and Tehran.

The images spread on social media showed Azerbaijani activists protesting in several cities and chanting slogans about Karabakh. Iranian Turks have always condemned Iran’s policy of supporting Armenia and accused Tehran of hypocrisy.
