The head of the Industrial, Mining and Trade Organization of Western Azerbaijan said:

ANT reports that Gulamrza Babayi visited the problematic Tikantepe fields on Tuesday and stressed the importance of preventing the sale of raw materials.
“Extraction of minerals from the region and the country in the form of raw materials is a major blow to the country’s economic base and income.”
He added: “The use of mines is necessary for the development of the country. We must not forget that in order to reduce the damage to nature to zero, we need to be careful and protect the vegetation in the region. ”
According to Babayi, the protection of natural resources does not hinder mining activities, but there must be an economic justification and value of mining activities.
In this regard, Allahverdi Dehgani, a member of the Iranian parliament representing the Varzegan region, told IRNA about the transfer of natural resources to individuals, the attack on natural resources, damage to the environment, serious damage to pastures and forests, as well as “It is not known how much gold the Russians extracted from the Andirgan mine,” he said.
According to him, the damage caused by this mine to the environment is undoubtedly greater than the material gain.
“We object to the rules of use and financial issues of the Andijan gold mine, and in this regard, the opinion of experts is important and reasonable for us,” said the Azerbaijani MP.
