Graffiti spread across Sufyan: “Azerbaijani political prisoners to be released”

Sufyan

After Azerbaijani political prisoners went on a hunger strike, activists in Sufyan wrote graffiti on tracts and walls demanding the release of all Azerbaijani political activists.

Slogans in Sufyan include “Free political prisoners,” “Free Abbas Lisani,” “Free Yusif Kari,” “Free Kari and Lisani,” and dozens of other protests.

Four Azerbaijani prisoners serving sentences in Tehran and Ardabil prisons – Abbas Lisani, Siamak Mirzai, Ali and Reza Vasegi – went on a hunger strike in support of Yusif Kari’s hunger strike in protest of the prison warden’s insults.

Three other Turkish prisoners, Behnam Sheikh, Tohid Amir Amini and Kianush Aslani, also announced that they would join the hunger strike.

It should be noted that with the return of Yusif Kari to prison, the hunger strike of Azerbaijani activists ended.
