Reza Shirinzadeh, while visiting the Khalkhal passenger terminal, said:
“In the last five months, 494,710 passengers have been transferred in the province, which is a 42% decrease compared to the same period last year, when there were more than 861,239,000.”
He stated that this amount of passenger transportation was done in the form of 96,406 trips, adding that the number of trips last year during this period was 121,980 trips, which has decreased by 21% this year.
He stated: 204,016 passengers were transported by bus, 57,663 by minibus and 233,031 by passenger fleet.
Referring to the activities of 54 passenger companies in Ardabil province, he added: A total of 14,171 drivers in Ardabil province are serving the people and passengers, of which 2,600 drivers serve the people in the field of passenger transport.
