There is no internet in 346 rural madrassas in Zangan

Ibrahim Rafi

Zangan’s education director said that 346 rural madrassas did not have internet and children were left behind.

According to Ibrahim Rafi, 346 out of 803 rural madrassas in the province do not have internet access, which means that 20 percent of rural madrassas are not connected to the Internet.

Rafii told Mehr News Agency that Zangan’s teachers were ranked 10th in the country in terms of joining the Education Ministry’s SAD program. Rafii claimed that the education situation in the province was good in this sense, adding that at least one in 10 children did not benefit from the system. An official from Zangan’s education department did not say how the children would read in this situation.

After the onset of the Korona crisis, distance and Internet education was suggested as an alternative in Iran. However, there is no phone or tablet that children can use, even if they have access to the Internet, especially in low-income areas such as Azerbaijan.
