Villagers protested in front of the governor over water shortages

Nazar-Ali Bulagi village

Residents of Nazar-Ali Bulagi village gathered in front of the governor’s office of Bilasuvar city of Ardabil province to protest against the lack of drinking water in the village.

Villagers say they have been suffering from a shortage of drinking water for nearly 20 years.

During this time, they complained to various officials and bodies, but so far have not received any results. According to them, the village’s drinking water has been provided by water tankers for many years.

However, according to residents, the so-called drinking water is filled with dust because tankers are often not closed.
There are many villages in Bilasuvar that suffer from a shortage of drinking water. According to Bilasuvar Governor Hasan Gubadi, the number of villages with water problems in Bilasuvar reaches 312.

It should be noted that in order to solve the water problem, some villages in Bilasuvar have been informed about the history of “Khorozlu” since 1388. The aim of the project was to provide water to 170 villages. However, the project implementation process is still at an early stage after 10 years.
