The export of iron ore from Zangan was banned

Faramarzi, head of the Zangan District

Faramarzi, head of the Zangan District Department of Industry, Mines and Trade, said: “This work was done to prevent the sale of raw materials, to create more added value and to provide the units in need of this substance in the country.

There are 47 iron ore mines operating in Zangan, of which 24 are Magnetite and 23 are Hematite.

Last year, a 25 per cent duty was imposed on iron ore exports, bringing 450,000 tonnes of Zangan’s magnetite iron ore to 15 per cent. This shows that its exports have decreased by 40-60 percent.
