Work is underway to extract oil in Mughan

IRNA

According to IRNA journalist Hamid Shaddil’s report from Ardabil, Seyed Saleh Hindi, director of exploration at Iran’s National Oil Company, said last week that an oil prospecting and extraction operation had begun in the Mughan region. oil will no longer need to be delivered from the south to the north of the country.

The presence of oil and related substances in any region and investment in the oil industry can act as a factor in the prosperity of that region. In the Mughan region, this issue has been ignored, and the work done so far has not yielded satisfactory results.

The most important effect of the history of oil exploration and extraction in Mughan is that it will lead to increased employment and economic prosperity. At the same time, the growth of industry, such as petrochemicals, the construction of special smelters and other oil facilities are among the economic factors affecting the living and employment conditions of the population of the region. Such an industry will not only attract a large number of unemployed, but also create jobs for many people.

There are oil reserves and oil-related substances in the Mughan region, north of Ardabil. In the past, oil exploration has been carried out through domestic and foreign companies, but so far this work has not yielded any results.

Oil exploration in Mughan was first carried out 60 years ago by a French company and the number of oil fields in the region is said to be 37. A Russian company also said that despite having 37 oil fields in the region, 17 of them could be exploited, starting from the village of Ruhkendi to the village of Khoruzlu and extending to the village of Dish Dash.

There are two oil divisions in the Kirlu region of Mughan, and their reserves are estimated at 4 billion barrels. But this black gold has remained under the ground for years. Currently, the state pays more attention to Mughan oil, and the Oil Ministry is serious about oil exploration and production in the region.

Seyed Saleh Hindi, director of exploration at Iran’s National Oil Company, said that this year, oil exploration will begin in the Gurgan and Mughan oil and gas fields, and these two wells are of strategic importance to the country. As the Gurgan gas field meets the gas needs of the northern regions of the country, the Mughan oil field is considered strategic because it can supply the oil needed for the Palayshgah of Tabriz, and it will no longer be necessary to deliver oil from the south to the north of the country. For many years, crude oil has been extracted in the Kir Dara, some parts of the villages of Girlu, Beyboglu and Khalifalu in the Bilasuvar district.

Abbas Jahangirzadeh, a representative of the people of Bilasuvar, Parsabad and Aslanduz, also said that the search and extraction of oil in Mughan will begin soon and work is underway to build a road to the region. This design will lead to major changes in the region’s economy. The value of the contract is initially 85 billion rials and will be completed within six months.

Ardabil master Akbar Behnamju also said that the drilled search wells had reached oil.
Hasan Gubadi, the commander of Bilasuvar district, also said, “There are oil and mountains in several regions of the district and the state should pay attention. This issue can have a great impact on the development of the county. ”
