Another activist of the Azerbaijani National Movement was arrested

In the city of Maragha

Mukhtar Ebrahimi Shahrivar, a Ulum political spokesman, writer and former activist of the Azerbaijan National Movement, nicknamed “Artan”, was captured by security forces in Maragha at 2.00 am on 1399 and transferred to an unknown location.

According to Mukhtar Ebrahimi’s wife, half an hour before his arrest, he called his colleague and told him that intelligence officers had set up an open ambush in front of his quarry and that they could enter the factory and arrest him.

Ms Ebrahimi said she was arrested through her husband’s colleague at around 9:30 that night.
The National Activist’s wife concluded: Today, Shahrivar 6, at 1 o’clock in 1399, during a brief telephone conversation at the house of Mr. Mukhtar Ebrahimi, said that he had been captured by the Ettelaat office in Maragha and was being held in the interrogation section of the office.
