The fate of the activists arrested in Tabriz is still unknown

There is still no information about the fate of South Azerbaijani activists Rasul Razavi, Hussein Amir Hijri, Hussein Mohammadian, Said Sultani and Babek Kiumersi, who were detained in Tabriz in support of the operation to liberate Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenian occupation and the Azerbaijani Army.

Azerbaijani activists Hussein Amir Hijri, Rasul Razavi, and Hussein Mohammadian, who were detained by Iranian security forces in Tabriz on October 17 and taken to an unknown location, have not been in contact with their families since their arrest and their whereabouts and condition are unknown.

There is no information about other Azerbaijani activists, Said Sultani and Babek Kiumersi, who were arrested by security forces at their workplace in Julfa on October 4 without presenting a verdict.

It should be noted that the investigator of the 16th Department of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court, Seyyed Ali Mousavi, refuses to decide on the release of Azerbaijani activists on bail due to the incompleteness of the trial.

According to the families of the arrested activists, despite their appeals to the courts and security agencies, no information has been provided about the reasons for the arrests and the charges against them, which has added to the concerns of the activists’ families.
