Shiran Nir village becomes the country’s rural tourism pilot

Director-General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ardabil Province said:

“Based on the goals set and the preparation of the necessary preparations, Shiran village will be introduced as a pilot of rural tourism in the country.”

According to IRNA on Thursday, Nader Fallahi stated in a meeting with investors in Shiran village:

“One of the goals for the development of rural tourism in the province is the development of ecotourism units and ecotourism units will be developed in Shiran village.”

Referring to the receipt of more than 100 requests for the establishment of an ecotourism unit in Shiran village by the residents of this village, he said: ‌ The priority of building these units in Shiran village is with interested and capable people.

He said: “In order to achieve tourism development, Shiran village has been designated with the pattern of development of eco-tourism resorts and the slogan of each house an eco-tourism resort and each family a tourism host in order to receive the logo of the country’s tourism village and measures have been taken in this regard”.

Fallahi said that among the measures in this area are the frequent visits of experts from the village and lectures and talks with the villagers in Shiran Mosque in order to explain the development of rural tourism and added: the villagers to organize the natural capacities of the village They have taken the initial steps.

The Director-General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ardabil Province also referred to the migration of more residents of Shiran village from the village and said:

“If rural tourism is launched with the model of eco-tourism resorts in this village, we will see reverse migration and tourists in this village.”
