The spokesman of the East Azerbaijan Emergency Service announced that five people were injured in a gas explosion and a fire in a residential house on Shahid Asmaei Street in Tabriz.
In an interview with ISNA, Vahid Shadinia explained the details of the incident: “The incident happened at 8:44 AM on Sunday and two of the injured are in critical condition.”
He announced the transfer of the injured by three emergency ambulances to the Sinai Medical Training Center in Tabriz.
Explaining the incident, the director of the Tabriz Municipality Fire and Safety Services Organization said: “On Sunday morning, after reporting a fire on the fourth floor of a building on Shahid Asmaei Street, which caused smoke to build up in the building and trap 9 people, firefighters and rescue workers were dispatched to the scene.
