Is it legal to transfer Alerza Farshi to Fashafuya Prison?

The Baharistan Revolutionary Court

The Baharistan Revolutionary Court said: “It is illegal to transfer Alirza Farshi to Fashafuya Prison”.

The family of Alirza Farshi, an Azerbaijani activist detained in the Greater Tehran Prison, appealed to the Tehran Baharistan Revolutionary Court’s Execution Corps to ask why Alirza Farshi was transferred from Evin Prison to the Greater Tehran Prison.

Officials said they did not know why he had been transferred to the Greater Tehran Zina, and that his transfer had to be done with the prosecutor’s permission and order. Therefore, this issue was raised illegally and arbitrarily by the Tehran Information Office.

Alirza Farshi also contacted her family and said that the head of the 5th section of the prison, Fashafuya, prevented her from sending a letter of protest to the head of the prison, and her letter was returned.

It should be noted that Alirza Farshi was arrested on March 31, 1399 in a lawsuit filed in connection with the commemoration of the Mother Tongue of the World on her way home from Tehran.

Behnam Sheikh and Hamid Manafi Nadarli were later arrested for serving two years in prison and two years in exile.

Alirza Farshi has a degree in computer engineering and is the son of a martyr in the Iran-Iraq war. Alirza Farshi has been repeatedly arrested for various cultural activities, including the establishment of a bookstore in Azerbaijani Turkish in villages deprived of public service in Azerbaijan and the creation of Campaigns for Mother Tongue Education on social networks, and has been banned from teaching.
